This arctic wolf finds himself in an early snow. Deep within an aspen forest in Alaska, his outer fur is getting thick due to the oncoming extreme cold that an Alaskan wither can bring.

Bighorn sheep are exceptional climbers. During the summer months these "Monarchs of the High Country" can be found in elevations up to 11,000 feet. The backdrop for this painting was inspired by a photo I took while hiking the higher elevations of the Canadian Rockies.
